The Strategy Of PACE

Today we will be talking about how to be concentrated on studies at University or college or school level and in the hostel or home or how to be focused on studies. There are some of the strategies made by the scholars for studies for us which will give us a lot of help in our studies. In which strategy is PACE.

• P stands for prepare for the class
• A stands for Active learner
• C stands for commit to note taking system
• E stands for effective learner

Now we will be studying 1 by 1 about this PACE and will be trying to understand what that means .

P : Prepare for the Class

Here it is saying that whenever you go to the University or school or college, you must be prepared for the class. Now how can you be prepared for the class, these are the same points which would make you prepared for the class

1. Be punctual:- It means that you should be at the time for the class you should be available before the teacher arrived in the class punctuality shows how much you are serious about studies and how much responsible person you are. the benefit of punctuality for the class is that you will not miss any lecture from the teacher and you will be able to cover the course with the rest of the class.
   1. Watch your ethics inside the class:- You will have To sit properly inside the class, paying attention to the teacher, not using mobile phone, not asking for pen or copy because you have to bring that material of your own.Checking your syllabus :- You must check your syllabus daily in order to do that what will will be studying today are we topic we’ll have to cover.
   1. Do your assignment on time:- You have to do assignments on time because it shows your responsibility and serious attitude towards study. Apart from that doing assignments on time will make you understand the subject matter because he will be searching for that topic in different cites  and you will get to know more and more about it.

A : Active listener

There are two types of Listeners

1. Active listeners
   1. Passive listeners

Active Listener simply means  attentive listening. Here your all senses, vision, mind set, physical posture, attention and all these things are involved only in Listening and not paying attention towards anything.

Passive Listeners means not paying attention towards lecture or whatever is taught.

Now you have to be attentive in the class to be successful. There are some instructions to be followed by the students for paying attention to the lecture

1. Decide to listen : First of all decide to For what purpose you are here in the class And what topic we are going to study today
2. Listen with positive frame mind

it means that whatever you are listening you will be thinking that is helpful for me and I will get benefit from .

• Your physical postures

it means that set properly in the class pay attention to the teacher do not use mobile phone make an eye contact with the teacher so that your mind does not think about other things.

• Decide what is important

You will have to decide which one is the most important topic in which one needs more consideration so that the whole topic can be understand by you easily.

C : Commit to Note Taking System

Commit to the note taking system Simply means that whatever something is taught in the class so you write it down it for yourself ‘so that the important voice would not be forgot from you while revising it in the hostel or home. now everyone has there all not in system but one of the standard note taking system os presents there which is widely known as Cornel Method.

It is also know as 5-R method.

1. Record:-  The first step in this method  is to record means to write each and everything whatever there is in the class so that the information is available with you for a long period of time so that whenever you want to recite it you go through it easily
   1. Reduce :- It is the step in which you precise your information by delete all the unnecessary information from it
   1. Recite :- It is the third step in this method in which you go through the reduced data would you have done in the second step by deleting all the unnecessary information
   1. Recall :- Close all your notebooks and the pages which you have written and reside and recite all your work 
   1. Review:- It is the last step in this method in which you go through all your work you have done in the previous phone steps. you go through the necessary points and if there is any confusion you are ready for your question in the next class from the teacher.

Effective learner or Engage in learning with others

The last strategy is to be in touch with the other students so you can ask them anytime if there is any confusion in your topic. You must sit in the group discussion because in the group discussion, each student gives their idea about a particular topic, so you have different ideas regarding the same topic for the different students.

If you do not understand from the teacher, you can easily understand it in the group. apart from that you can be an effective learner as well becaus as you understood the topic so you would give your own ideas which is pointing toward that you have learned this topic.  

If you want to be a good student and you want to learn something this  PACE strategy is the best strategy and these instructions are the best man to be followed. There are also other strategies like COPE strategy is and there but PACE strategy is the best one which is discussed.
