study habits
As we know, everyone has problems during their studies. Some cannot focus, some don’t find a particular space for studies, others can’t study at home, some say that what we study after sometimes we forget, and many more. Today, we will discuss the basic things one should do while studying for improvement.
Mind Set
The first and most important thing you need to do is set up your mind for studies. Once you have settled up your mind that you will be just studying and doing nothing else, remove all the other thoughts from your mind, leave everyone when studying, and just build up your mind that I’m here for studying and I’ll do studies.
Finding a Good Spot
Finding a good spot means that for studying, one should sit where no one can disturb you and there is no distraction for you while studying. For example, you can study better in the library, which is made for studies and there is no noise rather than studying in the cafeteria, which is busy and full of distractions. Similarly light plays an important role in studying. Low light can make u fall asleep and high light can cause your eyes pain. Similarly under sunlight during summer days is difficult. So finding a spot that makes you feel better for studying is important for your focus. When you are home, at least there has to be a space for you where no one comes there for example if your room door is closed, your family members should know that you don’t want to be disturbed.
Stay away from your phone while studying
Mobile phones are one of the best distractions ever for studies. We are so much attached to the mobile phones. Every time, u get notifications and you will answer it definitely which causes you to waste your precious study time. Whenever you study timings, turn off your mobile phone or at least activate the silent mode so that you can get no notification or no notification sound even while studying which can give you a lot of concentration on your studies. Avoid social media completely while studying. On one condition, you can use your mobile phone which is when you have difficulty understanding a particular topic and search it on Google or YouTube. Otherwise, they use Facebook, Twitter Instagram, and many more, completely avoid all of these while studying as they are the best source for distraction.
Manage your time
The next step is to manage your time. Show punctuality in your studies. You must have a proper timetable for your studies that from that time to that, I’ll just study. After that, make time goals for yourself, for example, make a goal during studies that I’ll cover that very much page or lines or chapter in 30 minutes. Then you will be focused on your studies not thinking or 7
doing any other things.
Take rest and Take care of yourself
After studying for a while, you need to take a rest because your body needs rest. Studying for a lot of time can cause an eye problem, you will get bored, your body will feel dizzy, and you will get tired. Your body needs nutrients for proper work. Eat more of the food that boosts up your brain for example chocolate, almond, walnuts etc. Your hand will need a break. If you are writing using a pen, get your hand used to it. And if your work is on the computer, make your fingers used to the keyboard and mouse so that you can achieve maximum time for the studies.
Take your time and stretch your arms, wrists, and fingers. If you are not feeling well from inside or outside, you cannot be focused and cannot pay attention there. For example, if you get ill and you have a goal to be completed by a given particular time, you will fail to achieve the goal by not taking care of your health
Create a study group
Creating a study group means that some of them work better or understand better in group studies. Make a group of your classmates. Sit somewhere after the classes. After that start a group study. One of the most important benefits of group study is that if you are having any confusion, you can ask them and can get rapid help.
Take notes
Taking notes during lectures is very helpful in studies. Taking notes in the classes is helpful because you will write down all the important points of the topic. Secondly, you will not forget any important ideas. The most important while you revise it in your home, all the important points will be in front of you and you will get easily an overview of all the lectures and can understand it without feeling bored and time wastage. This helps you connect to the studies and you will not be distracted by any other things for help as you have taken notes already for the help.

Not only it still sharpen you, but you will also get to know what are your weak points and where you need to improve and do more hard work. These tests and mock sessions will stay connected with you studies and will make you prepare for the big one.
Make study a daily routine
Study on a daily basis from your routine. Do not just study for your exams or any tests. Make study the part of your life. Make a daily schedule. Don’t get off. Don’t say that I’ll study that by tomorrow, do it now. As one of the scholars said, “Tomorrow never comes”. And the proof is there that “do not put off till tomorrow what you can do today”.
